We believe:
· An investment in family planning
services for all women is an investment
in healthier mothers and babies, stronger
families and a more sustainable planet.
· Young people deserve full access
to medically accurate, age-appropriate sex
education that includes information about
abstinence, contraception and disease prevention.
· The March for Women's Lives on
April 25, 2004, will be one of the largest
public and most profound demonstrations
in support of reproductive freedom in history.
· The time is NOW to stand up and
protect our most fundamental rights.
We, the undersigned, join our allies in
Washington, D.C. today in demanding reproductive
and social justice for women at home and
abroad. We salute the participants in the
March for Women's Lives and wish to show
anti-choice leaders in Congress, in the
White House and in the Texas Legislature
that their vicious assault on women's health
and on access to safe, legal abortion is
opposed by a strong, united majority of
Texans.
